A Very Special 100th Blog Celebration
We're all very excited here at MeSoFun/Good Morning From Maine. It's a big day. Some sixth months after our inception, it's our 100th blog post. Yeah, it should have happened sooner, but I had leg surgery and got looped on drugs for a month. You know how it is.
In any case, turn the lights down low and put on a little music. We'll do this right.
And by right, I mean I will point out a few blogs you might have missed along the way, as well as a few thoughts about blogging in general. You're thrilled. I sense that.
THE BLOGS
Probably the coolest part of this blog, as a writer, is the blogs I feel are worthwhile (i.e. they have a point to them and I take more than 10 minutes writing them), are the most popular blog posts. They're over there on the right of the screen.
How I met my wife.
Remembering a character.
Why I quit my dream job.
Of course, a couple all-time favorites have been overshadowed. Well worth the time reads:
How NOT to eat a Maine lobster
A cookie recipe that ex-girlfriends love
I hate Dodges
My dad's contribution to my nonexistant baseball career
Now then. Since you're all off reading other blogs, getting bored and hopping somewhere else on the Internet, forgetting or not bothering to read this far, I can tell the blog's true fans what to expect in the next 100 blogs.
1. I think I'm going to break down and purchase a camera, er go putting more photos I've actually taken on this blog.
2. I'm going to blog 3 times a week, sometimes 4. You have no idea how hard it is to produce lengthy blogs (possibly while at work, but I refuse to comment on that) three or four times a week until you try to do it. While I'm a fountain for ideas, sometimes they lack any quality.
3. More roadtrips are definitely in order.
Writing the blog has been more rewarding than I thought it would be. I thought it would fizzle out by now. But, by God, you're still reading. Thanks for that. I have no idea why. MeSoFun gets about 120 page views a day, which is basically nothing in the grand scheme of the world, but I'm pretty damn happy about it.
And now, onto the next 100 blogs, wherein I will scare every future PA student out of going into school and possibly get intoxicated and fall off the Brooklyn Bridge. Come along!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYou don't look 100 blogs older. Or maybe my one working eye isn't working as well as I thought. Either way, well done (my Bingas Wingas, that is) ...
ReplyDeleteThis has been an amazing blogging journey for everyone involved. As my blog record shows, there have been good blogs, a few bad blogs and some whatevs blogs. But as you can see, overwhelmingly good blogs. I look forward to the next 100 blogs! 77-5-8. Blogs.
